Chef Yamasaki Kenichiro

His culinary career had modest beginnings in Mimitsu City, Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan, where he apprenticed under his uncle to manage a wagyu beef farm where he gained deep appreciation for the care and dedication that goes into producing high-quality wagyu beef. At 19, Chef Yamasaki worked at 3-star Michelin Restaurant Le Taillevent in Paris, France. This stint initiated him into the world of fine dining where he learnt to create dishes that were not only delicious but visually stunning. In 2023, Chef Yamasaki was awarded the title Wagyu Master Chef in Brazil by the Brazilian Government for his involvement at the Wagyu Cooking & Concept at Sao Paulo Expo 2022, which attracted more than 180,000 attendees and garnered extensive TV and social media coverage. 

The many years of honing his craft has culminated in Chef Yamasaki helming the kitchen at KIKYO. He brings expertise, passion and creativity which permeates every dish. His fondest wish is that his guests will find joy in every bite of his creations.
